Volunteer opportunities

The scope of this horrific crime is too huge for one organization to tackle alone. We appreciate everyone who is volunteering their time. At Traffick911, we plug people in where they are passionate and gifted.

Volunteer process

Please complete the following steps to volunteer. These steps can be completed in any order. Because of the sensitive nature of our work, all volunteers must:

  • Complete the online volunteer application located here or below.

  • Submit two letters of reference. Ask two people who know you well to email Traffick911 a letter of personal character reference, telling us why you are a good fit with our mission to stop the buying and selling of American children. References should be 3-5 sentences at minimium. Family members are not valid references. Please have them email their reference to volunteer@traffick911.org.

  • Provide a background check. Employer Cost Control Services, Inc., conducts the federal background check for Traffick911. After you submit your consent form and $15 payment, you will receive the results within 24 hours. Traffick911 receives a copy of the results at the same time.

  • Attend a Traffick911 volunteer orientation. Traffick911 holds volunteer orientations in different parts of the Texas each month. Check the orientation list at the top of this page to see when the next one is scheduled. You do not have to have any of the above complete in order to attend an orientation. RSVPs are not required to attend orientations and you are welcome to attend any orientation, regardless of which county you live in.

We require a resume for some positions.

If you have any questions about the volunteer process, please email volunteer@traffick911.org.
